Zanzibar 2

Another step to the Safari

This return to Zanzibar marked a significant milestone in my life. For the first time, I felt a twinge of anxiety at the thought of traveling. Leaving my job in Lyon to embark on a project as exciting as it is frightening, I must say, doesn’t happen every day! With some defined goals for this stay, such as:

Reunite with my colleagues, make administrative progress & film video content

I was embarking on something quite vague, but always driven by a thirst for creation and new experiences.

Step 1: Surprise

The surprise for my former colleagues? A magical moment. I filmed everything, and you can clearly see how warm their welcome was. Those smiles, those bursts of laughter, really touched me. It was as if, in just one day, they taught me what it means to "be at home." One might think these are just words, but the feeling of comfort they offered me with that welcome was a true lesson in life.

Moreover, since some images are worth more than a thousand words, I made a video of it.!

Step 2: Videos!

I must therefore thank a friend, Benjamin, who lent me a camera and encouraged me to make videos, which, to be honest, changed the game. Thanks to better image quality, we managed to surpass the thousand views mark for the first time on Instagram. The emotions conveyed in the videos were able to reach more people, which motivated us to showcase our development and, of course, fueled new creative ideas.

We now wish to create a podcast like videos so that we can continue to share warm moments even before the opening of our Safari dates.

Speaking of warm moments, I also had the opportunity to take a tour of Makunduchi and film incredible moments with the locals, who also didn't expect to see me again so soon. The images will be available soon! ici !

Step 3: Administrative Challenges

Among the main objectives of this trip, clarifying everything with a lawyer was at the top of the list. Honestly, this step turned out to be a fiasco. After many twists and turns in finding a lawyer, the one who agreed to meet with us seemed uninterested in our project. And for us, it is impossible to work with someone who does not believe in us. Disappointed, but never demotivated, reality caught up with us, teaching us that sometimes planning ahead is important, but living fully in the present moment is even more so.

Conclusion: A Human and Creative Adventure

This return to Zanzibar has been quite different from my expectations. Between the warmth of reunions, administrative challenges, and the evolution of our content creation projects, Zanzibar reminded me to savor every moment, to promote authenticity, and to make the most of each experience. Today, through videos, we will continue to share these adventures with you so that tomorrow, they can truly take place!
